I Already Have My Own ISRC and EAN/UPC Codes. What's the Procedure?
If you already have your ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) and EAN/UPC (European Article Number/Universal Product Code), that’s great! It means you’ll be able to retrieve your streams and playlist placements. Be sure to include them when you’re recreating your releases.
For the EAN/UPC/Barcode
- Open your order and go to the 2nd step Release.
- Click on (Optional) Additional Release Details.
- Enter your EAN or UPC in the designated field.
For the ISRC:
- Open your order and go to the 3rd step Tracks.
- Click on the track and scroll to the bottom of the Edit page.
- Add your ISRC.
⚠️ Important: You cannot use the same barcode for both digital and physical distribution. If you’ve changed digital distributors, make sure to reuse your existing ISRC and UPC/EAN to retain your streams and royalties. If however you’ve changed your artist name in the meantime, do not reuse your ISRC and UPC/EAN otherwise this will cause issues when we redistribute your music.
